Gen Con 2010


Indianapolis, Indiana, August 5-8, 2010

With over 30,000 unique attendees, Gen Con is the largest convention dedicated to table top and role-playing games in North America. Brain Lag launched its first book, Aurius, in the Author's Avenue section in the Gen Con exhibit hall in 2010.


Fan Expo 2010


Toronto, Ontario, August 27-29, 2010

The largest convention of its kind in Canada, Fan Expo is five conventions rolled up into one, celebrating anime, comics, gaming, horror, and science fiction. Brain Lag featured Aurius at its table in the Artist's Alley.


Ad Astra 2012


Toronto, Ontario, April 13-15, 2012

Ad Astra is Toronto's original scifi literature convention, in operation since 1980. Brain Lag featured Aurius, Ruins of Change and a sneak peek at Halcyon with other authors, small press publishers and exhibitors.

Brain Lag returned to Gen Con, The Biggest Four Days in Gaming, with Aurius, Ruins of Change, and the world premiere of Halcyon in the Authors Avenue section of the exhibit hall.


Fan Expo 2012


Toronto, Ontario, August 23-26, 2012

Brain Lag also returned to Fan Expo, the largest convention of its kind in the country, after missing the previous year. At its table in Artist's Alley in the enormous exhibit hall, Brain Lag sold Aurius, Ruins of Change and Halcyon.


SFContario 2012


Toronto, Ontario, November 9-11, 2012

Brain Lag made its first appearance at SFContario, Toronto's new fall scifi/fantasy literary convention. All books were sold in the dealers hall, and for the first time, ebooks were sold on site with immediate delivery.




Con-G 2013


Guelph, Ontario, February 22-24, 2013

Con-G is Guelph's new anime convention, now in its fifth year. Brain Lag sold all titles in paperback and ebook form in the dealers room, along with Depth of Deception, an ebook from local author Alexander Galant.




Comicon 2013


Toronto, Ontario, March 9-10, 2013

Brain Lag had a table at the March Comicon held by Hobby Star Media, the same group that hosts Fan Expo, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.




Ad Astra 2013


Markham, Ontario, April 5-7, 2013

At its return to Ad Astra, Brain Lag was in the dealers room all weekend and opened for submissions at the official launch party for the business. It was also the first time author/owner Catherine Fitzsimmons hosted panels, alongside such authors as Jim Butcher and Robert J. Sawyer.




Faery Fest 2013


Guelph, Ontario, June 22-23, 2013

Faery Fest's Enchanted Ground invited Catherine Fitzsimmons as an author guest. In addition to selling books at the authors tent, she gave advance readings from her then upcoming novel Enduring Chaos.




The Pirate Festival 2013


Milton, Ontario, August 3-5, 2013

Country Heritage Park in Milton hosted The Pirate Festival on Civic Holiday weekend, where Brain Lag shared a vendor booth with other local authors. Author Catherine Fitzsimmons also gave advance readings from Enduring Chaos as well as an exclusive first look at the cover art.

Brain Lag displayed at Toronto's largest literary street festival, now in its 25th year, which took over Queen's Park for the day.

At our third year at Ad Astra, the first in its new and larger hotel, Brain Lag displayed all weekend in the dealers room and also launched the wildly popular Extreme Dentistry by Hugh A. D. Spencer.




SuperFan ComicCon 2014


Toronto, Ontario, May 17-19, 2014

Brain Lag and Catherine Fitzsimmons joined several local author guests at the inaugural SuperFan ComicCon, held at Exhibition Place. In addition to having a booth in the dealers room all weekend, Catherine hosted panels on writing with the other author guests.
