Video History
A number of people know I did work as an editing assistant for several seasons of Exhibit A, a highly successful forensic science series seen on Discovery, TLC, CTV and Canal D.
Admittedly, my part was very small. I spent most seasons learning the equipment and trying to understand the concepts. During Season V I discovered just how much I actually enjoyed the job and signed on for my first full season, complete with a minor promotion to boot.
The series was not picked up again for a Season VI and as I did not attend broadcasting schools I was unable to find another job in the field. Rather than let that end my fun I have purchased a camera, a video capture card and several other handy bits of equipment to allow me to continue at home. It may only be a hobby now, but I intend to continue. --Janson
My first completed project was an anime music video (AMV) using footage from the series 801st Airbats. The original three episodes are really quite good and I recommend it to any anime fan. For music I used the song "It's my Turn to Fly" by the Urge, composed for the animated movie Titan AE.
It's yet to be turned over for mass public viewing as I missed the cut-off date for Anime North 2002 by several days. To my awares, it is available only through a small number people on mass sharing programs such as Direct Connect and Grokster. There are shots that never reached my complete satisfaction but at a certain point I decided that it was time to move on. It was moved to CD and VHS, and not a week later the hard drive crashed removing any chance of improving it further. --Janson

My first serious attempt at making music was this arrangement of the unreleased "Singing Mountain" from the Chrono Trigger Original Sound Version, done in the style of "Music Box" from Final Fantasy V: Dear Friends. I've since discovered that actual writing music is something I simply can't do. I haven't attempted music production since and don't expect that I will, but this song shall always stand as proof that I could theoretically dabble in music as well. Song was encoded by Jeremy Robson.
